Alex manages the technical delivery of major storage, flexibility and infrastructure related projects within Energy Systems Catapult, including the development of the Storage and Flexibility Model – a leading and comprehensive techno-economic representation of GB whole system value of all types of energy storage and competing flexibility.

Experienced in strategic analysis of storage and infrastructure at national scale, he has led further projects on the benchmarking of new storage technologies, evaluation of the international landscape of long duration energy storage technologies and development of public facing insights on the value of Smart Local Energy Systems. Alex previously worked at the ETI as Strategy Analyst. He has a PhD in Smart Buildings, Comfort and Energy Efficiency and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
