Dr. Andrew Crossland

Andrew has worked for over 10 years in energy storage, renewable generation and microgrids. He presently works as Battery Storage Manager of disrupter developer, Renewco Power. Andrew has led the development of numerous first of a kind projects in the UK, New Zealand, East Africa and the Pacific. He also has a PhD on how to use energy storage to help DNOs with renewable generation. Andrew runs the electricity/carbon website @MyGridGB and authored a book on the industry called “Decarbonising Electricity Made Simple” in 2019. He previously was a director of the consultancy Advance Further Energy Ltd which developed the updated guidance for domestic solar/storage with MCS. He’s also an Associate Fellow of Durham Energy Institute.
