Manuel Baritaud joined the European Investment Bank (EIB) in 2017 as senior economist specialising in the energy sector. He contributed to the EIB’s Energy Lending Policy, which was adopted in 2019. From 2011 to 2017, he was senior analyst at the International Energy Agency (IEA), in charge of electricity security and market design. Previously he held different positions in the industry and at the French Commission de Régulation de l'Energie, where he was responsible for electricity network tariffs. Manuel Baritaud holds a Master's degree from the Paris-Dauphine University and a PhD in industrial economics from the Ecole des Mines de Paris.
