Robert is the Electricity Networks manager at the Commission for Regulation of Utilities in Ireland and is responsible for the economic regulation of the transmission and distribution network companies, and the integration of renewables onto the Irish system (including the DS3 project). The CRU recently published its “PR5” Decision setting the regulatory framework for the network companies for the next five-year period (2021-2025), which set out the ambitious targets and flexible investment mechanisms needed to achieve the transition to a low-carbon system by 2030.
