Yayoi Sekine

Yayoi Sekine heads the Energy Storage practice at BloombergNEF based out of New York, overseeing a global research team that produces insights on energy storage markets, technologies, costs and supply chain. This includes upstream technology and supply chain, as well as downstream stationary energy storage markets. Prior to this role, she led the Decentralized Energy research practice globally, covering distributed energy, energy storage and impact of decentralization on power systems and networks. In previous roles, she covered energy storage markets in the Americas, also out of New York, and was a Research Analyst based in Sao Paulo having spent four years covering Latin American renewable energy market development through BNEF. Yayoi holds a BSc in Global Resource Systems from the University of British Columbia (Canada).
