Carsten Wendt is the Strategic Program Manager at SMA. He has 15 years of experience in the renewable energy industry including roles as Head of Application Engineering APAC and Head of Product Management Power Conversion Systems. During his time in Australia, he already saw in 2016 the challenges of connecting large solar farms to weak networks and thus the need for more advance inverter controls (incl. grid-forming) and EMTP modelling. This experience helped SMA to become a leader in grid-forming technologies.
