Duncan Stone
Deputy Director for Smart Electricity Systems Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ)
Duncan has been a Senior Civil Servant for the last eight years and in his current role for a year, before which he was Deputy Director for Delivery of the Smart Metering Implementation Programme (SMIP). He has been a civil servant for over 20 years in total, including previously working with Ofgem to develop the offshore electricity transmission (OFTO) and the electricity interconnection cap and floor regimes. Before joining the civil service, Duncan qualified as a solicitor in a London law firm.
