George Hawkings

George Hawkings is the Director of Development and Delivery: UK BESS at Hyosung UK Limited. He is responsible for leading the technical strategy and project delivery of utility-scale battery energy storage systems across the UK and Europe. As a Chartered Electrical and Electronics Engineer he has experience of high-voltage transmission networks and delivery of grid-scale storage across OEM, EPC and developer environments, with a focus on the intersection of technology, regulation and construction. 

His current focus is on large scale grid connected BESS projects, lifecycle performance and creating circular approaches to energy storage projects across equipment deployment, augmentation and repowering.
