
Chris Elder
Chris Elder is the Chief Executive Officer of Fidra Energy. Fidra is a developer and operator of large-scale standalone battery storage projects in the UK backed by EIG, a US infrastructure investor and the National Wealth Fund. Fidra has recently completed a capital raise of ~£1billion (including ~£600M of project debt facilities) to finance the construction of Thorpe Marsh, the UK’s largest battery storage project (1.4GW/3.1GWh), near Doncaster, South Yorkshire and its future UK development pipeline. Chris was formerly CEO of West Burton Energy, which owned and operated one of the UK’s most efficient gas plants in Nottinghamshire. Prior to this, he was UK Managing Director of InterGen which operated ~3GW of gas fired generation and developed ~3GW battery storage pipeline.
