Allison Weis

Dr. Allison Weis is Global Head of Energy Storage at Wood Mackenzie, leading global research across markets, policy, technology, and supply chain. for both grid-scale and behind-the-meter storage. Allison has over 15 years of experience in the storage, renewables, and power modeling space. She joined Wood Mackenzie in 2023 from Ascend Analytics, where she was VP of Battery Solutions. In that role she built out a storage valuation product and consulting practice, as well as operational platform optimising storage, hybrid, and renewable bids into day-ahead and real-time power markets. Earlier in her career, Allison was an engineer at Tesla, focused on modelling stationary energy storage for large-scale renewables integration and analysis of revenue and battery degradation in different wholesale power markets.
