Sonia Grunenwald

Sonia is a member of the Energy Storage team at BloombergNEF. She leads the company’s coverage on the downstream stationary energy storage markets across Europe providing insights into market dynamics, revenues and policies. Leveraging her background in data strategy and analysis, Sonia focuses on uncovering key patterns driving deployment, technology choice, and investment in Europe’s evolving storage landscape.

Prior to this role, she led the strategy for developing a global physical asset data product and worked on building large-scale datasets and digital platforms. Sonia holds an MSc in Business Analytics from Imperial College Business School and a BASc in Arts and Sciences from University College London.
