Daniel Burrows

Daniel Burrows is the CEO of Eku Energy. He leads a team of global specialists focused on driving innovative energy storage solutions that deliver safe, secure and reliable clean energy to our customers and communities in the United Kingdon, Australia, Europe and Japan. As a member of the founding team, Daniel helped create Eku Energy as a standalone business in 2022 after being part of its whole incubation process within the Macquarie Group, honing Eku Energy’s business model and investment theses for a number of years.

Under Daniel’s leadership, Eku Energy’s portfolio has expanded to 50+ projects, has secured multiple revenue contracts and has safely delivered assets into commercial operations. This has included converting the first former coal fired power station into an operational BESS and leading partnerships with Shell, ENGIE, Tokyo Gas and the ACT Government.
