Erik Strømsø

Erik Strømsø is the CEO of BW ESS, which is a leading developer, owner and operator of BESS. The company was started in 2021 and currently has 211MW of operational batteries in Sweden and more than 1GWh under construction in the UK and Australia. Through greenfield origination and development partnerships, BW ESS grown a pipeline of about 7GW across the UK, Australia, Italy, and Germany.

BW ESS is part of BW Group, which is a global energy and maritime company with a growing portfolio of clean energy investments, including solar and offshore wind. Mr. Strømsø represents the group on several boards, including Corvus Energy, a world leading provider of battery energy systems for the maritime space.

Before this role, Mr. Strømsø was a Senior Equity Partner and head of Asia Pacific at Pareto Securities, a leading energy-focused investment bank.
