Erik Strømsø

Erik Strømsø is the CEO of BW ESS, which is a leading investment platform in the ESS space. The company was started in 2021 and has established partnerships with leading developers like Penso Power (UK) and Ingrid Capacity (Swe), and also has a notable presence in Australia. BW ESS currently has over 400MWh under construction in the UK and Sweden, and additional RtB projects exceeding 1 gigawatt in total.

BW ESS is part of BW Group, which is a global energy and maritime company with a growing portfolio of clean energy investments, including solar, offshore wind and biogas. Mr. Strømsø is responsible for the group’s energy transition investments and serves on several boards, including Corvus Energy, a world leading provider of battery energy systems for the maritime space.

Before this role, Mr. Strømsø was a Senior Equity Partner at Pareto Securities, a leading Nordic investment bank with an emphasis on energy. He notably spearheaded the bank’s Asia Pacific division, concentrating on capital markets financing and M&A within the energy and infrastructure domains.
