Eustace Furtado

In 2004, he received  scholarship to complete his MBA at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark, where he started to build links with experts in the wind energy space. Upon completing his MBA, Eustace moved to London where he re-joined GE as part of their Energy business. Over the next 15 years, held roles in Commercial Operations, Value Engineering, Wind Turbine Services, Pricing, Strategy, Product Development and Global Business Development. He worked closely with GE engineers to develop GE’s blade de-icing system and furthered that cooperation with the IEC Task-19 group to develop the warranty testing methodology that the industry uses today to test blade de-icing systems. He has spoken at internationally conferences in Belgium, Scotland , Sweden and the UK on these systems and methodologies.

In 2020, Eustace left GE and moved to Ireland to build and lead the Global Value Engineering team at Stryker- a Global leader in Medical Devices and robotic surgery. While at Stryker he spent his spare time supporting the efforts of the Advanced manufacturing factory in Cork, to improve its carbon neutral status through sourcing of green power purchase agreements and energy optimization methods. He also dedicated part of his time for mentoring upcoming leaders in Stryker and newly joined college graduates.
