Mr. Ganesh Karki is a distinguished business leader, entrepreneur, and one of the most prominent figures in Nepal’s hydropower sector. He currently serves as the President of the Independent Power Producers Association of Nepal (IPPAN) and holds several key leadership positions, including Honorary Consul of the Republic of Mauritius for Nepal, Chartered President of the Rotary Club of Patan Heritage, President of the National Gojurya Karate Association of Nepal, and Advisor to the Nepal Karate Federation.

With over a decade of experience in the energy industry, Mr. Karki has played an instrumental role in advancing Nepal’s hydropower development. He serves as Managing Director of multiple major projects, including the Upper Solu Khola Hydropower Project (19.8 MW), Hewa Khola A Small Hydropower Project (10 MW), Sabha Khola B & C Hydropower Project (32 MW), and Super Khudi Hydropower Project (26.5 MW), among others. Beyond hydropower, he is also active in investment and infrastructure development through companies such as BG Pvt. Ltd., Baibhav Power Nepal Pvt. Ltd., and Cream Hydel Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Karki is a respected member of several influential associations, including the Energy Committee of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, the Nepal Hydropower Association, and the Nepal-Mumbai Chamber of Commerce. His exceptional contributions to the nation’s energy sector have earned him numerous awards and honors, most notably the Jana Sewa Shree, conferred by the President of Nepal—one of the country’s highest civilian distinctions. He has also received several other accolades, including the Bisesh Sewa Samman 2075 from Focus Nepal and the Rastriya Nagarik Sewa Samman from Nagarik Ekta Samaj, among other national recognitions for his leadership and service.
