Since 2015, he has held a leading role in Fire Safety Application Engineering at Siemens Smart Infrastructure Headquarters, where he drives innovation and excellence in safety solutions.

With deep expertise in risk analysis and the implementation of fire protection measures, Gerd is a recognized authority in shaping industry standards. He serves on the Euralarm Board and is Vice Chair of its Extinguishing Section, contributing significantly to the development and harmonization of fire safety regulations across Europe.
