Henry Xu

Henry leads Sungrow’s UK energy storage business, overseeing market strategy, sales, contracting and commercial activities, customer relationships, and strategic management. Prior to joining Sungrow, he spent eight years building and leading BYD’s UK energy storage business from early 2014, delivering flagship projects and establishing long-term partnerships with utilities, key developers and investors across the country.

Henry holds degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, followed by an MSc in England and an MBA from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Combining engineering background, technical expertise with commercial and strategic insight, he plays a key role in driving strategic deals and the deployment of energy storage across the UK market.
