Malcolm Paterson

CIP is the world’s largest investor in greenfield renewable infrastructure, and with 3 * 500MW projects in construction is also significant investor in the UK BESS market.

Malcolm has worked in the energy sector for over 20 years.  Prior to joining CIP, he held various leadership roles at ScottishPower and, most recently, was the Business Development Director at ScottishPower Renewables.  In this role, he oversaw the Development and Commercial teams, grew the onshore renewables pipeline, and secured investment across wind, solar, and BESS projects.  Malcolm is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Edinburgh.
