Nick Provost

Nick is a Chartered Engineer who has spent nearly 20 years in the Energy industry predominantly covering a wide range of pre-contract activities including Marketing, Data Analysis, Business Development, Contract Negotiation and Commercial Management.

Nick has been in the BESS industry for around 5 years with his current Sales Manager role on providing Trina Storage’s utility-scale solutions to some of the UK’s largest BESS operators. Prior to this Nick was a Commercial Manager at Balance Power, a medium-scale BESS developer, helping identify the projects with the greatest commercial potential looking at all aspects of revenue and cost. This has provided him with exposure to multiple facets of bringing a BESS project to life from site origination, technical evaluation, commercial approvals, and ongoing operations.

Prior to his involvement in BESS, Nick worked for Centrica where he found a techno-commercial niche in developing multi-technology Energy Performance Contracts through combining his engineering skills in understanding how technologies work and what commercial returns they can deliver. His work helped underpin guaranteed savings contracts worth over £100m.
