
Serhii Nahorniak
People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Head of the Subcommittee on Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency, Committee on Energy, Housing and Utility Services. Since 2020 serves as the co-chair of the inter-factional association “For the Development of Nuclear Energy”. As the first author of the Law of Ukraine “On Energy Efficiency” dated October 21, 2021, which was developed in accordance with the 27th EU Directive, Mr. Nahorniak actively contributes to the implementation of European standards in Ukraine’s energy sector.
A key focus of the work is close and systematic cooperation with state-owned energy generating companies and Ukraine’s transmission system operator, including Ukrhydroenergo, Energoatom, and Ukrenergo. Responsible for facilitating investments in Ukraine and for cooperation with international donors and investors.
Member of the parliamentary group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on interparliamentary relations with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Head of the parliamentary group on interparliamentary relations with the Republic of Kazakhstan. Founder of the international project “Yurt of Invincibility”, launched in 2023. As part of the initiative, nine yurts are installed and operate across Ukraine, serving as cultural hubs and heating points during the Russian–Ukrainian war.
