Toby is the Commercial Project Manager at ion Ventures, focussing on coordination of BESS projects though financial close into operations, with an eye on long term market and technology evolution.

He has held positions across the electricity industry, focusing on flexibility throughout. Starting at UKPN as an analyst and a project manager on the Low Carbon London programme gave a grounding in networks and flexibility. Markets, policy and regulation, and C&I customer needs came after that through product development at Orsted, before consultant and commercial roles at Veolia and GRIDSERVE respectively.
