Vadym Utkin

Vadym Utkin advises the CEO of DTEK Renewables on energy storage projects, working across project development, market integration, and partner selection. He has been involved in Ukraine’s first grid‑scale BESS commissioned in 2020, the 200 MW project brought online in October 2025, and the acquisition of a 133 MW asset in Poland. Vadym’s current work centers on optimizing storage participation in Ukraine’s balancing market and contributing to the development of regulatory and legal frameworks for BESS. With a background in both business and engineering, he focuses on linking technical solutions with robust commercial models in Eastern and Central Europe.
