Bridgit Hartland-Johnson Speaker at Energy Storage Summit 2026

Bridgit Hartland-Johnson

Energy Expert/ex-Orsted

I am a senior leader with more than 30 years’ experience shaping infrastructure, regulation and innovation across the global energy sector. I have worked at the forefront of the industry’s transition, designing and delivering complex, high-value projects that drive growth, unlock new markets and embed sustainability at scale.

Most recently, I was Director of Energy System Integration at Ørsted, one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies. There, I led a portfolio of first-of-a-kind projects, including large-scale battery systems, integrated offshore infrastructure and hybrid export routes. I oversaw the technical, commercial and regulatory frameworks that enabled board-level investment and long-term success. Also, I represented Ørsted in engagement with regulators and government departments, and co-chaired the company’s global Women’s Network.

Prior to that, I had senior roles at Siemens across the UK and Germany, including as a founding member of the Group’s global energy storage business (now Fluence). I led the go-to-market strategy and financial innovation for grid-scale storage, helping to shape new investment structures through Siemens Financial Services and Siemens Bank.

Earlier in my career, I founded an energy consultancy advising Indian governments and regulators on national grid modernisation, and held senior transformation roles at AREVA, Alstom and Schneider Electric.

Known for bringing clarity and cohesion to complex systems, I specialise in supporting organisations at the intersection of infrastructure, innovation and public value. I am now building a portfolio of non-executive and advisory roles, helping boards navigate strategic growth, governance, transition and risk.
