Darren Popham

Darren has 36 years’ experience within insurance, with 25 of these being at Marsh. Darren has a predominantly power construction insurance background having focussed on development of major power risks financed on a non-recourse basis across the globe. Prior to his current sales and development role he was head of renewable power for Marsh in the UK focussing on the expansion of the teams renewable power client base. Over the course of the last five years Darren has worked on a number of significant and challenging Battery Energy Storage projects both in the UK and overseas and is conversant with the requirements of insurers to enable projects to be insured on time and on budget to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. Darren qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in April 1999.
