Dr. Changjiang Zhan
Dr. Changjiang Zhan is working with NR electric Co.Ltd., as a deputy chief engineer. Heisan IET member, UK Charted Engineer(CEng), and a member of CIGRE & IEEE. He is the convenor of CIGRE B4.101 “Industrial Implementation and Application of Grid Forming Energy Storage Systems (GFMESS)”.
Hehas34yearsworkingexperienceinthesystemdesign&analysisofpowerconverters/invertersandelectricpowersystems,especiallyinHVDC,FACTSincl.BESS,andoffshorewindenergyintegration.HeworkedinEuropeanbothacademiaandindustryfor20years,includingfouryearsPost-doctoralintheUniversityofManchester(UMIST),specialityinWindEnergyandPowerQuality;inSiemensAGatErlangenfor8yearsandAlstomUKatStafford/Rugbyfor8years,allfocusedonthesystem/basicdesignandtechnicalprojectmanagementofHVDC&FACTSprojects.
