Mark Walton-Hayfield

Mark is leading the transition to net-zero in the energy sector, focusing on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the UK and Ireland. He has been leading the UK and Ireland BESS business over 3 years, and has expertise in Transmission and DNO-connected projects, covering 33 kV to 400 kV connections.

In his role, Mark oversees the regional Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success/Relationship teams and coordinates Envision Energy’s efforts to sell, deliver, and operate successful projects. He has secured over 1 GWh in contracts in the UK and Ireland, and has driven significant growth in 2024 and 2025. His focus areas include BESS, Wind, and Hydrogen, drawing on global insights from Envision Energy.

With 25+ years of experience across industries like Energy, Rail, Telecoms, Aerospace & Defence, and Pharmaceuticals, Mark has led transformations in Battery Energy Storage, Architecture, Digital, Cloud Computing, Big Data, AI, IoT, Cyber Security, and Blockchain. He is dedicated to enable clients to stay commercially competitive while advancing renewables, sustainability, and decarbonization.
