Friedrich is a recognized global expert in storage solutions, grid operations, and renewable energy transition. For the past 15 years, Friedrich has designed and implemented complex battery storage systems of all sizes at Siemens, Fraunhofer and Younicos/Aggreko. Friedrich was also involved in policy making through his tenure at the German Energy Agency.
Friedrich currently works at SMA Solar Technology where he advises grid operators, power producers and corporate investors on market models based on large scale storage and grid support applications.
