Paul Smith

Paul Smith has more than 25 years of industry experience. He is responsible for sales of Energy Dome’s CO2 Battery technology globally. Paul previously held the positions of VP of Business Development with the renewables IPP, Emergy, and advisor to major renewables investors in the EMEA region. Prior to that, Paul was with the Athens-based contractor, METKA, where he built up the business development function and served as GM, Sales & Development and exec. member of the board. During Paul’s time, METKA executed about 10 GW of gas-fired power plants globally. Paul got involved in renewables in 2010 when he was responsible for early investments in solar PV. He then went on to lead the board as chairman of the renewables JV company, METKA EGN.  During Paul’s term, the company contracted >1 GW of solar PV, >300 MW of BESS and added a project development portfolio of 3 GW globally.  Paul started his career at BP Chemicals where he worked initially on process development in the R&D function and subsequently plant commissioning and energy efficiency initiatives.
